Sura al-Mulk 7.7

Sūra al-Mulk, also known as Sūra Tabārak, is the sixty-seventh chapter of the Qur'an. It is a Makki sura found in the twenty-ninth juz' of the Qur'an. The name "al-Mulk" and "Tabarak" are derived from the first verse of the sura, which emphasizes the universal Lordship of God and serves as a cautionary message about resurrection.

The sura commences by extolling and praising God for His absolute dominion, sovereignty, and authority. The second verse delves into the creation of death and life, illustrating divine trials to discern those who excel in their deeds. These initial verses are widely recognized in Sura al-Mulk. One of the merits associated with reciting this sura is that recitation during the night promises a reward equivalent to that earned by observing the Night of Qadr vigil.

Sura Mulk is eloquently recited by renowned individuals such as Abdul Basit, Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi, Abu Bakr al-Shatri, and Saad al-Ghamdi, showcasing their captivating voices.
